This work is very intimate for me. It is about holding on to someone who left earlier than she should have. Inspired by her vision of life, I experiment with techniques and play with materials, all with the purpose of shining light within.


The collection is divided into three parts: Ad Astra, Présences, and Chimères. Each section holds something deeply personal, a special connection between her and me.

Celeste - Chimères 
	

When I wake from asleep, I try to recall images of her from my dreams. They are often blurry and shift shapes each time I remember them. I tried to capture that feeling in this chimera.To help me invoke the sensation of Celeste presence and memories getting blurry with time passing, at first I used alabaster and then i focused on glass and bronze. It allows me to explore the chimera complexity with new perceptions appearing depending on how light bounces on glass across shapes and shadows. Brososilicate glass is a light medium, with a soft and delicate sanded texture. I want it to look like an ethereal cloud, tethered to earth by the bronze holding it up for us to witness.With the purpose of mapping textures from my surroundings I pour melted bronze on a mix of earth, sands and stones, and get them react with each other. Therefore you can feel in the texture left onto the bronze the story of those mountains. Leaving their mark for eternity.
 
I spend countless hours soldering, cutting, fitting bronze pieces together to find shapes that will bond the bronze and glass together. Then shine a lightbulb inside the glass, soft and diffuse. The idea is not to produce a strong or useful light, but more of a subtle presence. I want you to feel this Chimera more than have a use for it.

While working with Glass I try to push matter to its limits. Blending motion with reality. To a point where understanding and theory become irrelevant you just can feel what the matter express.

Celeste “Ad Astra” is inspired by her love for the dance between the moon and the sun, the influence they have on us, and her fascination with zodiac readings. It recalls countless night walks through the forest, searching for the perfect spot on a rock to gaze at the moon.


These lights combine melted bronze, representing the sun, with cold stone (alabaster, granite, or marble) symbolizing the moon. I also explore how light can transform our perception of these elements, whether by night or day.

This line of lamp is purposely “naive” trying to reclaim our inner child perception.

This lamp is inspired by Augusto Giacometti’s painting “Nuit étoilée”. It not only reveals the sun and the moon but also captures the presence of stars within itself.Bronze, Alabaster, GraniteSize: 60cmWeight: 8kg

	Genesis
	This project roots are deeply connected to my childhood. I grew up in the Pyrenean mountains, playing and growing up in a forest surrounded by gigantic trees. Always with the feeling to be deeply connected to the nature around me. In my work, I strive to recapture that genuine vision of life.


I also feel the need to reach memories and sensations, to reconnect with those who are no longer here.
 In the forest, I find the perfect expression of time: in those old trees, time writes itself. Every line of wood, every layer and color holds the imprint of time.

	Process
	Amongts them: Most of the trees I use for the project “Amongst Them” come from deep within the forest and died a long time ago. I choose the ones I will work on with great respect for the ecosystem. The trunks are emptied and shaped using a chainsaw, chisels, and various sizes of Dremels.


Usually, most trunks are solid inside, and it takes time to hollow them out and achieve their organic textures and shapes.


For the bronze elements I have two different process:
Lost wax technic: I sculpt directly in wax, and once the piece is ready, I bring it to the foundry for the plaster mold and bronze casting&#38;nbsp; .
Organic melting:&#38;nbsp;The bronze cast is done using techniques I have developed and refined in collaboration with the foundry, allowing me to achieve organic shapes and forms.&#38;nbsp; With the purpose of mapping textures from our surroundings I pour melted bronze on it to imprint and get them react with each other.


Working on this project is, for me, a meditative process where time becomes irrelevant. I can spend months on a single wood-and-bronze piece, stopping only when I feel the need free from the constraints and injunctions that modern society tries to impose on us, such as time and productivity.


Celeste:
The wood, alabaster, bronze, and other materials come from European suppliers who prioritize environmental responsibility and support the local economy. I work alabaster, glass, marble, and similar materials myself, and, depending on the piece’s specifications, collaborate with specialized artisans.


The bronze cast is done using techniques I have developed and refined in collaboration with the foundry, allowing me to achieve organic shapes and forms.&#38;nbsp; With the purpose of mapping textures from our surroundings I pour melted bronze on it to imprint and get them react with each other. Therefore, you can feel in the texture left onto the bronze the story of those mountains. Leaving their mark for eternity. 


My work is not only designed to be used but also to be touched, sensed, and observed. I carefully consider every aspect so that each piece can be appreciated visually, physically, and from every perspective.

This collection is about my childhood, when I used to play among gigantic chestnut trees that were over 150 years old.Today, as I see them falling, it is impossible for me to let them disappear.

I like to think of them as beings, dormant entities born from my childhood imagination, beings that used to surround me with their presence in the woods.

After a long walk in the forest, it is sometimes hard to find a rock that accepts the shape of our body. When it happens, a small satisfaction emerges. Suddenly, a rock without the purpose of being a chair becomes partly a chair. As we sit on it, we begin to accept small constraints. The rock is not perfectly flat, and its texture is not easy to sit on. And yet you are happy there, in the middle of the forest, because you have found one of the few rocks or trunks that accepts you.

This is what I want you to feel when you interact with my pieces. I want you to feel like a humble visitor, a curious forest adventurer who suddenly finds a peculiar object in the woods one with which they can interact.

I want my furniture not to be fully usable, square, or perfectly flat. I want us to understand that we must adapt to nature and take from her only what we can or need, with the understanding that we cannot have it all. You can only use the space the rock gives you, and you must adapt to it. It is a mutual agreement an encounter with one of my tree entities, with whom you share use, but mostly time and sensory experience. Utility is not the center of my creations; interaction between humankind and nature is.

In that sense, I could say my work is non-anthropocentric.

I live and work between Pyrenees Mountains (France) and Barcelona (Spain). My research focuses on wood, stones, glass, metal, and project methods from cultural and disciplinary intersections.&#38;nbsp;

Kane’wa is the nick name in Wayuunaiki I have decided to wear for this roots reseach and project, surrounded by my familly and ancestors.
